Islamic Dress Hijab is the major part of Dress for most of Islamic women. Islamic dresses are nowadays very popular among Muslim women all over the world because of its covering of body from top head to bottom. Islamic dress includes hijab which means to cover the head with a veil or using a scarf. The Quran has quoted some synonyms of the word hijab that is akshimar and diljab.
It is also quoted in the Islam that Muslims should not reveal their body publicly and must cover it properly and dress themselves as simple as possible. The wearing of hijab has now become change according to different cultures and their dress they wear adopting various fashions. Some people wear Hijab as an Islamic symbol and others just wear it occasionally at particular situations.
According to Islam women should wear loose clothes so that their body should be completely covered and then there wouldn’t be any sexual attention in their look. Most of the scholars discuss with each other on what level of clothes a Muslim woman wear that could compensate the need of hijab should? So everyone comes with their own suggestions saying a woman should cover her all body parts including face, head, feet and hands while there are other people who suggest allowing women to expose their face and hands and covering rest of all body parts.
There are different styles of hijab all over the world depending on particular region and their cultural orientation. In Asian countries like Pakistan, India and Bangladesh women wear a two piece veil covering their face and head with a gown like long dress from neck of the body to the bottom which in known as Burqa. Burqa is a black color dress but today it comes in various colors according to the demand of women which prefer other colors such as white and blue to look different with fashion and style. It depends on many factors that to what level of hijab one is going to wear. Most of the women now adopt trendy styles of wearing hijab. Therefore, some women don’t wear traditional robes and others enjoy wearing beautifully designed traditional black robes.
